Asset Tracking

Lack of transparency puts availability and operations at risk.

Indoor and Outdoor IoT Asset Tracking

Sensor-based asset tracking
enables reliable location tracking and condition monitoring of mobile and stationary assets across a wide range of use cases.

Asset positions are captured via GPS, while data transmission is flexibly handled via cellular networks, mioty, or LoRaWAN depending on the specific application requirements.

This makes it possible to select the optimal combination of range, energy efficiency, and resilience for each scenario.

In urban environments, for example, mioty-based sensors such as the Juno series from Sentinum are well suited for tracking clothing containers, machines, tools, goods, or other mobile assets across large metropolitan areas.

Thanks to the robustness of the radio technology, location and status data can be transmitted reliably even when cellular networks are limited or temporarily unavailable — an essential advantage for critical infrastructure and municipal applications.

All captured location and condition data is centrally aggregated within Pallax, where it is analyzed in real time and clearly visualized.

This creates a comprehensive, end-to-end view of asset locations, movements, and usage—forming the foundation for reduced losses, optimized processes, higher availability, and sound investment decisions, fully GDPR-compliant and without the processing of personal data.

Specialized applications for asset trackers in hospitals and cold chain monitoring

DIN EN 12830 / HACCP

Within buildings, asset tracking enables transparent monitoring of beds, wheelchairs, and medical equipment.

Using sensor solutions from Teltonika Telematics, assets can be not only located but also enhanced with additional functionalities.

These include, among others, cold chain monitoring in accordance with EN 12830, for example for temperature-sensitive medications, samples, or food. Continuous monitoring helps to quickly detect interrupted cold chains and intervene before significant damage occurs.

Specialized applications for asset trackers in public transport operations and hazardous (explosion-risk) environments

E-Mark / ATEX

Depending on the area of application, certified variants are available, including E-Mark for vehicle use and ATEX for operation in potentially explosive environments.

The sensors are designed for energy-efficient continuous operation and achieve battery lifetimes of up to eight years, depending on transmission intervals and the selected radio technology.
